Ghana
midfielder Andre Ayew scored three times as Olympic Marseille beat AC Ajaccio
by 3-1 at the Stade Veladrome on Friday night.
The hard
working midfielder who has been on the radar of English giants Liverpool and Arsenal
gave Marseille the perfect start they anticipated early in the game with a left
footed shot from the left side of the box to the bottom right corner when he
was played through by Lucas Mendes to beat Guillermo Ochoa in the 3rd
min.
The Ghana
international doubled their lead in the 60th min after perfectly heading
a Payet cross to give Marsille a 2-0 lead
The 24 year
old gave OM the cushion and his third of the night to put the game beyond the visitors
after connecting a Brice Dja Djedje’s low cross following a set piece in the 75th
min.
The emphatic
performance by the Ghanaian international makes it his second hatrick of the
League.
