AMOS FIMPONG, ADAMA AND THREE OTHERS RENEW CONTRACT WITH KOTOKO




SPORTS LOUNGE can confirm that League leaders Asante Kotoko have renewed five of its player’s contract. Asante Kotoko who had most of their player’s contract running out at the end of the season was able to renew five of them on Tuesday afternoon. 

Although the team did not reveal the names of the players to the media, SPORTS LOUNGE can confirm that defenders Amos Frimpong and Ben Adama have all extended their contracts with the Porcupine warriors, and will continue to be in the red shirt come next season.

In an interview with Accra based Montie FM, board member of the club Ali Maradona confirmed that the club has been able to extend the contract of five players.

“What has happened is that we have renewed the contracts of five out of seven players who had their contracts running out”.

“I cannot give you the names right now because we are waiting for our official mouth piece, the Kotoko Express to reveal them".

“But I can only mention that Amos Frimpong and Ben Adama who were part of the players having their contracts running out have all renewed their contract and will be in the red shirt next season”. Ali Maradona said.

The Kumapem lads are chasing their third successive league title after winning the 2011/2012 season and defending it in the 2012/2013 league season.
