Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani has praised the work ethics of his players and feels they will be ready both physically and psychologically for the task ahead.
The Porcupines engage Liberty Professionals at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium this Sunday after completing their four-string of matches at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi last Sunday with a 4-1 walloping of AshGold.
With an obvious different atmosphere in wait for them having played on one surface and in front of their partisan supporters all these while, Didi Dramani is insistent his charges will be ready mentally for Liberty Professionals.
“Before I came out of the dressing room I had given my programme for the week, the boys know that we will be playing away and they know who our opponents are and how important that game is” said Didi.
He said they aim to garner as many points as possible to cushion them in the league chase so they can allow their players on injury list enough time to recuperate.
But as the technicians do their part to psyche the players, Didi Dramani said management must also play its role to make sure that they tighten every loose end to complement the efforts.
“Of course every coach from this moment will talk to his players to let them know what is at stake. But it is not only on our part alone. I think management also ought to do their part to solve other motivational issues that could bring the psyche up.
Didi Dramani praised the readiness of his charges to sacrifice everything for the title and especially their obedience to him, and stressed that would see them through the season successfully.
“I think that these crops of Kotoko players are boys that listen a lot. They listen to me a lot. And, so devoid of any other issues that could affect somebody mentally, they have come to agree that whatever it is, if it yours, it will always come”.
