Board Member of Hearts of
Oak, Frank Nelson believes the Phobians are still in contention for the First
Capital Plus Bank Premier League title, despite the recent poor run of results
by the Rainbow club in the domestic top flight.
Hearts of Oak are hoping to
win their remaining 12 games to clinch 67 points and are hoping Kotoko drop
points to ensure the Phobians leap-frog the Porcupine Warriors.
“Nothing is impossible.
Somebody will say with God all things are possible. I am not saying that we are
the only team praying and that the other sides are not praying. But, it is a
competition and anything can happen. 12 points that we are talking about is in
4 games out of 12. Even if we cannot win the league, we must make sure that we
close up in a very comfortable position,” Nelson told Power FM.
Hearts of Oak, who won
their last Premier League crown in the 2008/2009 season, are 12 points behind
league leader Asante Kotoko on the log sheet after securing 31 points out of a
possible 54.
