Ghana will send 96 athletes to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Information gathered by the GNA Sports revealed that, the figure represents the 10 sporting disciplines that have been selected by the National Sports Authority (NSA) to participate in the Games.
According to the information, athletics would send a team of 30 athletes, ten Disable Sports athletes with Amateur Boxing, Cycling, Shooting, and Weightlifting having eight representatives each.
The information indicates that, Judo would be represented by seven Judokas while Badminton and Table Tennis send six players each. Five Swimmer will be on parade.
The source said the number was influenced by recommendations from the participating associations and the technical committee of the planning committee.
However, the list was yet to receive approval from the planning committee of the Commonwealth Games.
Apart from athletics which would send two officials and four coaches, the remaining disciplines are expected to send two team officials and two coaches each.
This brings to 139, the total number of athletes and officials to represent Ghana at the Games.
The Commonwealth Games is scheduled between, July 23 to August 3.
