Ghana’s representative
in the CAF Confederation cup, Medeama SC Club booked their place in the round
16 of this year’s CAF Confederation cup after securing a 4-2 aggregate score
line over Moroccan Maghreb Fes on Saturday.
Medeama who
had gone into the second league with a 3-0 advantage lost 2-1 to the Moroccans
but was enough to secure them a place in the last 16.
Maghreb
opened the scoring in the 38th min in the first half through striker
Dos Santo before the Ghanaian side equalized just 3 min in the second half
after Maghreb defender Younis knocked the ball into his own net to make it 1-1.
The Moroccans however got their second 15 min from time through Malian midfielder
Diallo but was too little to qualify them to the next round as the Ghanaians
went away with a 4-2 aggregate score line.
The yellow
and mauve will now face ZESCO Club of Zambia in the next round of the
competition.
