Ghana
goalkeeper Azume Adams won the player of the match award on Tuesday night when
Ghana beat European Champions Germany 1-0 in the FIFA Women World Cup.
Adams, 16,
kept a second clean sheet in the tournament after putting up some splendid
saves to ensure the Maidens won all three points to advance to the next round
of the competition.
The Hassacas
ladies shot stopper was presented with a FIFA “Live your Goals” certificate
after the game. This makes it the second time in a row in this year’s World cup
a Ghanaian has won the player of the match.
