Ghanaian striker Abdul Majeed Waris scored twice on Saturday night when
Valencienne were beaten 3-2 at home by bottom placed AC Ajaccio.
The 22 year
old got his 6th goal of the season 51 minutes into the game before
Ajaccio drew level 11 min later. The Ghanaian international however got his
second of the night in the 72nd min when he perfectly slot home a
pass from Arthur Masuaku to put the Les Atheniens back in front. But Ariel
Jacobs men could not hold up to their lead as Ajaccio came back to score two
quick goals to win all three points at the Stade du Hainaut.
The goals
however increase the Ghanaian goal tally to seven out of eleven games. The lose
leaves Valencienne in the relegation zone lying 18th with 28 points.
